Treasurer's Report:  Sandra McNeill - $ 2,753.46
 
Committee Reports
Community Issues, Sara Hollberg: Sara was not present; none to report.
 
Community Property, Newtown Business Guild liaison, Craig Peterson: Report on aea problem properties; Michael Organ will go “green” on his Jefferson Street renovations.

NBG Plant Swap on the first Saturday of every month was a success - 1 pm at parking lot at corner of Beverley and Jefferson. Leftover or excess plants will be planted on W. Beverley Street.

Street cleaning for West Beverley was requested by the Guild. Jim Halasz is the contact person. Parked cars may hinder success

Real Estate at large: Many home renovations are under way – Eustace Mullins house has sold; Richard Byrne’s home has a new roof; Lamb’s house sold; Dyjak’s bought properties on Jefferson Street (extended); No sale on Locust Street next to Ed Pickett.

Old Business:

Neighborhood Watch:
Moving forward with Lisa Kline. The project at 800 W Beverley had support from large base. Fund raisers are in the work – June 26th at the Belle Grae.

The ice cream social will be July 26th at the Dyjak’s home 2-5PM.

The NNA newsletter will be sent out in early July.

New Business:
 
The Block Party is scheduled for September 6th. Shirley will check with Trinity as a back up if it rains.

Almost all current Board Members have agreed to continue on the Board – Shirley will check with Steve P. as he has been out of town. The Board must begin considerations for officers.

(We discussed the Tree Walk and other events – Shirley misplaced or lost the last page of Joel's notes and reconstructed them from memory.)

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, August 20, 6:30 pm at the home of Craig and Shirley Peterson, 703 W. Beverley Street.
