The minutes of the June meeting were approved. There was no July meeting.

Treasurer's Report:
Sandra McNeill:  $2203.70 with 2 new members

Committee Reports:

Community Issues:
Sara Hollberg:  Sara has asked for block captains and gave the list of block captains to Officer Klein.  We still are in need of a coordinator.  It was suggested that an email be sent to the membership, but decided to wait for the block captains to decide.

It was suggested that we give Bob and Back Door Butcher our feedback on the progress of the proposed Food Coop.

Real Estate / Community Property:
Craig Peterson:  Craig reported on properties for sale.

Old Business:

Terry Graham is unable to attend our meeting this time.  Brochures for the Preservation Conference on September 23-25 were handed out to board members.  There are still opportunities to volunteer for this event.

Ice Cream Social was a roaring success.  75 to 100 people attended and most stayed and visited for a while.

Steve Plumbley spoke with Dave Metz about the NNA trash can idea.  Mr. Metz agreed to look into this for NNA.

It was suggested that we do the Studio tour on Friday, October 26, to coordinate with the 4th Friday art gallery event downtown.

Next newsletter will come out in late September or early October and recap the Ice Cream Social, Block Party and Neighborhood Watch.

Block Party is set for Saturday, September 8, 5-8 p.m. with a rain date for September 9.

Distribution concerns:  We will try to distribute newsletter to City Council and Police Department.  Steve Plumbley volunteered to help with this.

New Business:

All board members have agreed to serve for another term, except for Cleve Helmick.  Ed Miska has volunteered to prospect for another board member.  Give your suggestions to him.

A flyer for the Block party will be distributed 2 weeks before the event.

Discussed the National Night Out event as a possibility for next year.

The board agreed to the sale of Newtown totes at Shirley and Ed's new shop.

The Christmas Tree Walk has been set tentatively for December 22.  Ed Miska has agreed to coordinate again this year.

Next Meeting Date:  Tuesday, September 11, 6:30 p.m. at Craig Peterson's house, 703 W. Beverley St.
