Christmas Walk was set for December 16 with pre-party on December 15. We need a host home for the pre-party. It was moved and decided to set aside $100 to help the host pay for the party. It was also emphasized that the pre-party host will have help from other board members with food.

Social Events:
A speaker is needed for the February soup event. Barbara Martin suggested Frank Albrecht, who is writing a book about the arts in Staunton. Also suggested were artists and musicians of Newtown could make a presentation. Shirley Masters asked for a volunteer to coordinate the February soup event. Main responsibilities would be contacting 6 people to make soup.

New events were discussed: a tour of artist in studios in Newtown and a walking tour of Newtown architecture.

It was decided to move the board meeting to the second Tuesday of the month.

The next meeting will be at the home of Bob Craycroft, 123 Fayette St., November 14, 6:30 pm

Meeting was adjourned at 7:45 pm and Shirley Masters treated the board to chicken salad, croissants and bread pudding.
